What we are all about.
The team who developed this website aimed to create freely available online resource containing detailed information about Human Factors methods (what they are, why you need them, and how to use them), including additional references and links to related resources, as well as information about when in the design cycle is an appropriate time to utilize each method.
Why we exist.
Thanks to a seminar course offered at North Carolina State University (Ergonomics Performance Assessment), our team was able to synthesize many overarching categories of human factors methods, and present them to you in an organized manner.
What you will find here.
You will find information on the following broad categories of Human Factors Methods.
Since we frequently have to choose when to implement these methods, a common framework guides the organization of these categories - the Design Cycle. Each method is organized by the stage in the design cycle where we recommend implementing the method. Of course, these are just a guideline - and it is possible that a method may cross-cut multiple stages within the design cycle
